CONTEXT: There's a question on my lab HW, "The general question that interests me is:" I want to put something utterly unrelated to Bio.
NOTE: The lab is about bacterial growth at different nutrient levels
Friend: You should. It does not specify it must be about this lab.
Me: Exactly!!!!!!
Friend: Will you? and how inappropriate are you willing to be?
Friend: "I wish to discover the optimal level of wine with which to fill this decanter so that people do not think there is more when it runs out, thus leaving more for another party the next night."
Me: Where the Ballmer Peak is
Friend: Figuring that out is no small question. You wouldn't want to overshoot and hit Vista, would you?
Me: Precisely! It requires research.
Friend: And so there shall be research. Now for funding....
Me: Um ... any tech company?
Friend: Google. Microsoft needs its R&D evaluated.
Me: MS actually has a much more active R&D arm than Google
Friend: Shh. They made vista and must be eternally shunned, there is no logic to this like there is none to the OP question.
Me: I'm evidently the only person who never had a problem with Vista that I can remember.
Friend: Its main problem was being slow, needing to download all the programs to do what you want with the main interface, and enjoying crashing. Oh, and bluescreening.
Me: yeah, I didn't have crashes, or BSOD.
Friend: Maybe it liked you.
Me: Vista liked me! I'm touched.
Friend: ...."Touched by Code" will be the secular replacement for "Touched by an Angel"
